I swear, I will final table the 17K one of these days. I’ve cashed in it twice out of three tries. I’m getting there, but just can’t seem to get over the hump.
Just as we were getting ready to burst the money bubble (around 3:00 am), Numb Jr. decided to wake up crying, so the last hour of the tourney consisted of playing the tourney, and trying to sooth him at the same time.

UPDATE ON THE KARMA PAYMENT:
NotALiar did make good on his promise of $50. We sat in a 1-2 Heads-up table and played exactly one hand. He raised $50, I re-raised, he folded. This just makes my day, knowing that one click of the fold button netted me an extra $50. Didn’t realize folding could be so +EV.
Karma…it’s a good thing…

Well, not really a railbird, but kind of…
Here’s the story…It starts in a $75 token frenzy last Wednesday. It was near the bubble, and I had a stack that was good enough to burst the token bubble. The player on my left, “notaliar” was fighting the bubble fight with a short stack, and I let him have a walk, even though I had a premium hand. No biggie, I figured. I let him know what I had in the chat, and he was pretty grateful, as he ended up earning a token.
Fast forward to the Big Game on Sunday. Out of the blue, this shows up in the chat box.
Apparently he hit in a tourney with that token, and wanted to send me a little love for my bubble grace earlier in the week.
Nice to see Karma coming back around to you once in a while.
Unfortunately, he can’t send the $50 over, because he hasn’t been on FTP long enough (I think it has to be three months). He says he’ll send it eventually though. If his FTP username is any indication, I’ll probably see that $50 eventually.

I’ve been hitting up a few more of the guarantee tourneys on FTP these days, and inching my way towards a big cash. This is from last night.
There were two pros in this. Scott Fischman, who I managed to get seated next to for about ten hands. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to bust him, but I did manage to steal his blinds a couple of times.
And MandyB, who I sat next to a little while later. I’m not too sure of who she is, but she’s a red pro on Full Tilt.

I don’t play the guarantees that often on Full Tilt, but I’ve been hitting up the nightly 11.5K Guarantee KO tourney a few times lately. Last night produced this result. Granted, it’s not a Hoy/Chad type of cash, but still pretty good for me. This is a fun little 6-max tourney, which I tend to prefer over full tables. If I remember correctly, I collected seven or eight bounties along the way.
