Play Online Poker with poker’s top bloggers
Brought to you by online poker room Full Tilt Poker |
Let the madness begin, looking forward to it all…the suckouts, bad beats, complaining, disappointment, etc…
Also looking forward to covering these tournaments live on-air on BuddyDank Radio.
I was fortunate enough to receive an invite to the freerolls. Thanks to AlCantHang and Full Tilt Poker for doing this for all of us.
So hey there everyone, haven’t been really ummmmm posting much these days. Seems I’ve caught the same case of blogger-burnout that many others caught last summer. Why? Who knows…I’ve never been the most active blogger to start with, couple that with real-life issues, and post BBT burnout, and I guess you have your answer.
Thought I’d drop a little something on here since it seems like we have another BBT series coming up. Yep, BBT5 is soon to be announced, and I’m looking forward to it. Full Tilt Poker will be dropping some prizes in our laps for being loyal customers of theirs, and well, because Full Tilt Poker has been pretty awesome to us poker bloggers over the years. If only we could get one of our own on their inside, then we’d be set…oh wait…
Personally, I haven’t played that much poker over the last six months or so. I’m still hitting up HORSE tourneys, and having moderate success. And I’ve chased a few bonuses with Rush Poker.
Of course, BuddyDank Radio has been around throughout this entire period of blogger poker downtime. And it will be around for all of your BBT5 coverage. I’m pretty proud to be a part of it, and look forward to many more drunken nights of blogger tournament coverage with Buddy and Jo.
For those of you who didn’t know, I was honored to be the man who walked Joanada down the aisle at her and Buddy’s wedding last fall. I’ was honored to do this, and feel sooooooooo lucky to have made lifelong friends through the silly intermanets and poker games that we’ve had over the years.
So I guess that’s it. I do plan on posting a bit more now, I wanna keep this blog alive, because I know that you, my millions of readers, are chomping at the bit to hear every little thing I have to say…right?
I leave you with this little tribute to John Hughes, who passed last year. His movies are some of my favorites of all time, and he died before his time. Enjoy. And kudos to anyone who can tell me the source of my subject line of this post.
Very small field with only 16 runners, but a win is always nice. This is number six I think. Caught some decent cards at key points, but the highlight was busting Turtle with The Hammer when two deuces came down on the flop (all in pre of course, is there any other way to play the hammer?).
Had Edgie outchipped 3-1 or so when we got to heads up play. We played heads up longer than I thought we would, but in the end I had enough chips to weather a few busted draws etc…
Great game to Edgie, and please check out his blog at http://edgiespokeropus.blogspot.com/
As you can tell, Buddy had a little mess on him after I finished with him on New Years Eve.
Too bad we couldn’t film the actual Money Shot.

After Monday night’s donkey HORSE win, I was geared up for Tuesday’s MiniFTOPS HORSE tourney. Managed to satellite in (would have bought in direct if I didn’t sat in though), but played blah poker for two and a half hours, and bowed out halfway through the field of 1600 or so.
So I had to play the late $5 donkey HORSE to defend my title from Monday night.
Mission accomplished…
Starting with about 18 people remaining, I steamrolled this thing. Here’s the chipcounts as we entered final table play.
And with six to go…
I wasn’t exactly sure how many wins this was in this tournament, so I looked it up. This would be win number 10 baby. OPR has me down for 9, but I won one of these while OPR was having problems with Full Tilt earlier this year and wasn’t getting data.
Been running like crap lately in every HORSE tourney I’ve played. Somewhere I picked up a nasty habit of busting out within 5-10 places of any cash.
I think I kicked that habit in the junk last night, winning the $5 donkey HORSE for like the eighth or ninth time now.
Mini FTOPS HORSE tonight…see you there.
Haven’t really played much real poker in the past 3-4 months. A few blogger tourneys, but that’s about it.
Decided to try and refocus on the $4K HORSE tourney recently, and so far so good, but it could be better.
I’ve played this tourney three times in the past month, and cashed twice, including what you see below. Funny thing was, with 28 left, and myself in 15th place, my internet went down for about 15 minutes…money started at 24.
It finally came back, and I found myself in 19/20. Shitty spot, but I guess I didn’t have to sweat the money bubble this time around.
So I parlayed that short stack into $250 somehow. Should have run deeper, but these idiots at the final table were suckout artists who had no clue how to play O8 or Stud8.
I hate the Kansas City Chiefs, but I love The Office.
So I’m torn about this hilarious Office parody produced by the Kansas City Chiefs.
