Heads-up strategy
Poker August 3rd. 2007, 8:53pmI was thinking about the 81 hand heads-up battle I had with Jordan in the BBT Finale. I don’t think I gave it enough attention in my writeup about the tourney. I think I’m gonna write something up about it next week and maybe even get into a little heads-up strategy discussion.
I play a lot of HU SnG’s, and I’ve given heads-up strategy a great deal of attention in the past year and a half.
The battle with Jordan the other night was one for the ages, and it wasn’t just a shovefest either. There was some pretty good stuff going on for both of us, and as I give it more attention, you’ll see that.
I played in Kat’s rebuy donkament tonight, and re-bought 648 times, thus blowing all of my BBT winnings.

Hey NB. I’m with you on the HU match. It was stellar. I’m looking forward to your writeup and I’ll consider my own writeup on the subject. Both of us played smart slow poker, avoiding the urge to just push it all in. I wonder if stack sizes vs. blinds made a difference. Whatever the case, gg, and congratulations on winning. You were playing well the entire time I was sitting at a table with you.
